- ½ teaspoon pepper
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced into ¼ inch slices
- 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 3 cups beef stock
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Evenly season the hamburger patties with the salt and pepper.
- Sear the patties for about 3-5 minutes on each side, or until browned on both sides. Remove the patties from the skillet and set aside.
- Add the onion and mushrooms into the skillet and sauté for 8-10 minutes, or until starting to turn translucent and slightly browned. Add in the garlic, Worcestershire sauce and dijon mustard and stir to combine. Let cook for a couple minutes.
- Pour in the beef stock and stir to combine. Bring the sauce to a simmer. Nestle the seared hamburger patties back into the skillet. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for about 15-20 minutes or until the patties are cooked through and the sauce has reduced and thickened slightly.
