The Monthly Scoop is BACK! After a little break, we’re breaking in the new year by bringing the Monthly Scoop back to your inbox. Let’s catch up and dive into all the goodies that January had to offer!
Welcome back to The Monthly Scoop! Where I share life updates, favorite finds and yummy recipes from the past month.
I took a little break last year from The Monthly Scoop, and I’m excited to bring it back!
Ok, now onto the goodies!
What have we been up to lately? Well… we moved! We’ve been praying about our next step with our housing situation for quite some time, and we feel so unbelievably blessed for the gift of a home that God has given us. Our plan was always to build, but God had other plans for us! It all came about in December (when John had the stomach flu of all things!), when this house came available to look at. It checked so many boxes and we went for it! We are so, so excited and it already feels like home. I’m in full homemaker mode over here! Who wants to see more house details?!
The past month was also filled with a lot of time with friends and family. God has truly blessed us with the best! A lot of board games have been played and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
Queso and Amos are still doing great! Amos had a sinus infection this past month, but he’s recovering nicely. Who woulda thought that horses could get sinus infections, huh? We’ve had some very, very cold days here, so everyone has been all bundled up and braving the weather like pros!
And I almost forgot! I learned how to and completed my first knitted hat! My mom and I both worked on the same project and it was so fun to get to learn from her. It’s definitely been the perfect hat-wearing weather!
The theme of the month for January was S & S – Slow cooker and Sheet pan! That means, that every recipe that hit the site in January were either a slow cooker or sheet pan recipe. I loved it! I think it is a great way to ease back into the new year and that the recipes are quickly ones that become family favorites. As always, I strived to create fun, delicious recipes with easily accessible ingredients that you feel comfortable making in your own kitchen. Click on your favorite recipe below and get to cookin’! If you make any of my recipes, I’d love to hear from you!
