Thanksgiving Sliders are all the classic flavors of a Thanksgiving meal in one, perfect sandwich! The layers consist of a garlic, herb cream cheese, cranberry sauce, cheese and turkey. Topped with a garlic butter, these sliders are then baked until perfectly golden brown. You won’t be able to keep your hands off of these!

I do have to say, these little sliders sure did surpise my taste buds! I was expecting them to be pretty good, but I wasn’t expecting them to be THIS good! They are so scrumptious and have all the classic flavors of Thanksgiving in one, little package! Not only that, but they are easy to make and are a perfect way to use up Thanksgiving leftovers – or not! I walk you through how you can enjoy these sliders any day of the year!

Let’s break down all the layers:

Bread

When it comes to sliders, there really isn’t anything better than the classic King’s Hawaiian Rolls! You can use the classic sweet rolls or even the new savory butter ones that they offer. 

Garlic Herb Cream Cheese

Is there anything better than a garlic, herb cream cheese?! It’s pretty hard to beat! This is also very customizable as you can use fresh herbs (strongly suggested) or dry herbs if needed. Just remember that you will use less dry herbs than fresh as they are more pungent.

You can also use a classic 80z brick of cream cheese that has been softened, or even snag one of those containers of whipped cream cheese. Either works!

For the garlic, I always have jars of this pre-chopped garlic on hand. You can’t beat it!

Cranberry Sauce

Nothing fancy here, just a regular, ol’ can of cranberry sauce! I like to use the the sauced cranberry vs. the jellied cranberry as it is easier to spread, but if all you have on had is the jellied, you can make it work! It just may take a little bit more time and love to spread around.

Turkey

Now, let’s get into the main event, turkey! There are a couple options you have in regards to what turkey to use:

  • turkey deli meat (hassle-free and can make them any time of the year!)
  • leftover turkey meat (the perfect way to use up some of that leftover turkey meat!)

Either way you make it, you will have a delicious outcome!

Cheese

When it comes to the cheese portion, I’m mainly looking for something that is going to melt well and add to the decadence of these sliders withoug being too overpowering. I would suggest using shredded mozzarella, montery jack or other mild, white cheese.

Flaky Sea Salt

Topping these sliders off with a flaky sea salt isn’t necessary but SO worth it! It just adds that extra ping of flavor as you bite into these sliders. So yummy!

Description

Thanksgiving Sliders are all the classic flavors of a Thanksgiving meal in one, perfect sandwich! The layers consist of a garlic, herb cream cheese, cranberry sauce, cheese and turkey. Topped with a garlic butter, these sliders are then baked until perfectly golden brown. You won’t be able to keep your hands off of these!


Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 pack Hawaiian rolls
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 8 oz shredded mozzarella
  • 14 oz can cranberry sauce
  • 11 oz turkey deli meat (or leftover thanksgiving turkey meat)
  • 1 stick (8 tablespoons) butter, melted
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Flaky sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Cut the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally creating a bottom and a top. Place the bottom in a greased 9×13 pan and set the top aside for later.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the cream cheese, rosemary, thyme and garlic until smooth. Evenly spread it on the bottom layer of the rolls in the pan. Sprinkle half of the cheese evenly over top the cream cheese mixture. Evenly spread all of the cranberry sauce over the top of the cheese.
  3. Layer the turkey meat on top of the cranberry sauce. If using deli turkey meat, fold the pieces in half to create more texture. Sprinkle the remaining amount of shredded cheese over the top of the turkey. Place the top layer of the Hawaiian rolls on the top.
  4. Combine the melted butter together with the onion powder. Carefully pour the melted butter over the top of the sliders and use a pastry brush to make sure that every roll is coated with butter. Sprinkle with the flaky sea salt if desired.
  5. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use either turkey deli meat or leftover Thanksgiving turkey meat for this recipe.
  • Cranberry sauce vs. jellied cranberry sauce is recommended as it is easier to spread.
  • Let cool completely before storing in the refrigerator. Leftovers re-heat nicely!
