Description

All the flavors of a classic supreme pizza come together inside vibrant peppers in this cheesy, comforting dish.Supreme Pizza Stuffed Bell Peppers are packed with saucy beef and marinara, smothered with gooey mozzarella, and topped with pepperoni, mushrooms, and olives. It’s a fun twist on pizza night. Better yet, this pizza stuffed pepper recipe is a wholesome recipe that can be made low-carb and gluten-free.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 green bell peppers, tops and cores removed
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 24 oz jar marinara sauce
  • Pepperoni slices for topping
  • Black olives for topping
  • Chopped mushrooms for topping
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  2. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Breaking apart until it is browned through. Add in the garlic and Worcestershire sauce and sauté for a couple minutes more. Pour in the marinara sauce and stir to combine. Remove from the heat.
  3. Lightly spray a 9×13 pan with cooking spray. Arrange the 6 prepared bell peppers in the baking pan.
  4. Fill the peppers with the saucy beef mixture. Top with desired toppings such as the pepperoni and black olives. Then, evenly top with the cheese.
  5. Gently tent the stuffed bell peppers with foil, avoiding the foil touching the cheese. Bake for 30 minutes covered, remove the foil and bake for another 10-15 minutes or until the cheese is golden brown and bubbly.
  6. Serve with breadsticks and dig in!

Notes

  • Can other colors of bell peppers be used? They certainly can! I just recommend using green bell peppers for that classic supreme pizza taste.
