Poppyseed Salad Dressing Ingredients

Dijon mustard

Honey

Instead of sugar, we use honey, which contains amino acids, vitamins, minerals, iron, zinc, and antioxidants. Sweet!

Blush wine vinegar

Blush wine vinegar has a lighter flavor and color than red wine vinegar. If you can’t find it at your store, substitute with red wine vinegar.

Avocado oil

Avocado oil is a heart-healthy oil that contains vitamin E. It’s a great base for healthy salad dressing.

Tossing Tips

Wait to toss.

Make sure you wait to dress the salad until right before serving, to avoid soggy greens.

Chill the bowl.

If you chill the bowl in the refrigerator before adding the ingredients, it will help keep all the components cool and crisp.

Use a big bowl.

Choose a bowl that’s substantially larger than the amount of ingredients you’re adding. This will prevent any unwelcome spills!

Use your hands.

Gently toss the salad ingredients together with your hands. It’s messy but distributes the dressing evenly!
