Sticky Honey Garlic Pork

Sticky Honey Garlic Pork is a quick and delicious recipe loaded full of flavor! Thinly sliced pork is sautéd with a homemade homemade honey garlic sauce that gets all sorts of sticky in the best ways. Serve over a bed of rice for the perfect meal!

What Cut of Pork to Use

If cooking pork seems like an intimidating task, then this recipe is for you! Quick, simple and a darn delicious outcome.

First things first, what cut of pork works best for this recipe? Thin boneless pork loin chops is the answer! These pork chops come thin already, so all that you have to do is cut them into strips! If using thicker cut boneless pork chops, then more knife skills are going to be required to get roughly 1/4″ by 1/4″ strips.

Cutting the pork into thin strips and cooking them on high heat ensures a quick cook time all while keeping the pork tender. Since pork chops are a leaner cut of meat, it is easy for them to become overcooked or dried out. Not the case in this recipe! A quick sear and then a simmer in a honey garlic sauce for some dang good pork.

Homemade Honey Garlic Sauce

After the pork is thinly sliced and ready to go, it’s time to whip up a quick, flavor-loaded sauce! Simple ingredients from the pantry come together to bring this sauce alive. Here’s what is needed:

  • Soy sauce – this is the liquid base of the sauce. Not only does it add a natural, umami salt flavor, but also makes it a beautiful deep color!
  • Honey – a natural sweetener and thickener to the sauce!
  • Garlic – freshly chopped or jarred for a delicious garlic flavor!
  • Sesame oil – sesame oil adds a scrumptious nutty flavor that can’t be missed! Definitely worth it.
  • Crushed red pepper – a little dash of heat to keep your tastebuds singing!

How to Serve Honey Garlic Pork

Serving this honey garlic pork couldn’t get any easier. Serve on a bed of rice, tossed with some ramen/rice noodles or as a fun salad topper!

I served mine on a bed of my Cilantro Coconut Rice and it was the perfect fit! Top with some freshly chopped cilantro and a lime wedge for a little extra something.

Perfect for a quick and easy weeknight dinner, or a fun date night meal at home, this Sticky Honey Garlic Pork is sure to please!

Sticky Honey Garlic Pork is a quick and delicious recipe loaded full of flavor! Thinly sliced pork is sautéd with a homemade homemade honey garlic sauce that gets all sorts of sticky in the best ways. Serve over a bed of rice for the perfect meal!

  • 1 pound thin boneless pork chops, cut into 1/4 inch strips
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, garlic, sesame oil and crushed red pepper until combined.
  2. Heat the olive oil over high heat in a large skillet. Add the thinly sliced pork to the pan and quickly sauté on each side for a couple minutes. Remove the pork from the pan.
  3. Add the sauce to the skillet and reduce the heat to medium-low. Allow the sauce to simmer and thicken for about 5 minutes. Add the pork back into the sauce and toss to coat. Cook for a few minutes more, or until the pork is cooked through and coated in the sauce. The sauce also thickens up quite a bit once the heat is off.
  4. Serve on a bed of rice with fresh cilantro and lime wedges. Enjoy!
