Can we take a second to talk about how easy this meal is?
One sheet pan. Just a few other dishes. We’re talking cleanup that’s in the same league as store-bought mac and cheese—but this flavor packs way more punch.

Why KJ Loves Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas
Sheet pan meals are a great way to get dinner on the table without a lot of hassle. Chicken fajitas are a staple in our household, and having this Sheet Pan Chicken Fajita recipe up my sleeve makes the job even easier! Being able to make chicken fajitas and only dirty one pan is what I’m talking about. Grab all your favorite fajita toppings and dig in!

How to Make Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas
01) Mix the fajita seasoning blend.
You’ll mix together some seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder. This is the perfect blend for that classic fajita taste!
02) Cut the peppers and chicken.
Bell Peppers:
Use a variety of bell peppers to add pops of color and layers of flavor. Or, just use whatever you have on hand. My favorites are green, red, and yellow bell peppers.
Chicken:
If you’re looking for a dinner that’s fast and easy, boneless, skinless chicken helps you win at both. It cooks up quickly and makes serving a breeze.
You can choose dark or white meat for sheet pan chicken fajitas —your preference! I like to use boneless, skinless chicken tenderloins because they are easy to cut into 1-inch pieces before cooking.
What about onions?
If you want to add onions, go for it! Slice up some yellow or red onions and toss them in with everything else.
If you don’t love onions or don’t have any on hand, you can leave them out.
03) Toss ingredients on a sheet pan and bake.
Toss everything together on your sheet pan with some garlic. Go for fresh garlic if you have the time. To make it easy, you can use pre-minced garlic from a jar.
Bake for 35-45 minutes, until cooked through. If you like extra charred flavor, leave the sheet pan chicken fajitas in the oven a little longer.
04) Serve on tortillas and enjoy!
…it really is that easy. You can use all the time you saved on meal prep to make homemade sides and drinks (like 5-ingredient guacamole or margaritas). Or use the time to unwind and ask your family about their day.

Sheet Pan Chicken Fajitas FAQs
How should I cut my chicken for fajitas?
Many traditional methods use longer, thin strips of chicken. However, I like to cut my chicken into 1-inch cubes for my sheet pan fajitas. If you’re cutting longer strips, try slicing the chicken against the grain for a tender (not chewy) texture.
How do you know when chicken fajitas are done?
Check to make sure your chicken is cooked through (165 degrees). After that, it’s up to you! Some people like their fajitas more charred and caramelized. Others prefer the vegetables on the firmer side.
What are the toppings for fajitas?
To top your chicken fajitas, try sour cream, guacamole, salsa, jalapeños, or shredded cheese!
