What is Reindeer Poop?

I know, I know, why call it Reindeer Poop? But how can you not?! Every Christmas cookie platter needs a fun, comical treat. Reindeer poop fits the bill!

Reindeer Poop are two Oreo’s glued together by a dollop of peanut butter and then dunked into melted chocolate. Decorate with sprinkles and dig in! Such a fun, no-bake Christmas cookie!

Oreo Cookies

For this recipe, the best Oreo cookies to use are the standard ones, not the double-stuffed. Double-stuffed will result in a cookie that is too thick. Plus, two Oreo cookies are used per cookie so it becomes double-stuffed all on it’s own!

If you want to venture out, other flavor varieties can be used if you have a favorite Oreo cookie. Chocolate Hazelnut, Chocolate Stuffed or even Peanut Butter Oreos

Peanut Butter

Creamy peanut butter works the best for this recipe. Think of it like glue!

Dab a teaspoon-full worth of peanut butter onto the top of one Oreo cookie. Keep it in the center as it will spread out when the other Oreo is pressed on top of it.

Gently press another Oreo on top of the peanut butter just until the peanut butter reaches the edges of the cookies.

Chocolate Coating

Chocolate Candy Coating is the perfect option! It can be melted in the microwave and has a nice, glossy finish. Hassle-free and loaded full of chocolate flavor – count me in!

You can use a fork to lower the peanut butter Oreo stack into the chocolate, but I think this is the easiest way:

  1. Arrange the Oreo stacks on a wire cooling rack.
  2. Spoon the melted chocolate candy coating over the top of each stack and down the sides.
  3. Decorate with desired sprinkles.
  4. Allow to set and cool.

Once the chocolate cools and sets, the cookie clusters can be stored in an air-tight container or plastic storage bag. But they may not last that long!
