Peach Butter Amaretto Sours

If you are looking for the perfect cocktail to transition from Summer to Fall with, then Peach Butter Amaretto Sours are all that you need! Warm, cinnamon-scented peach butter is mixed together with just the right amount of amaretto and lemon-lime soda to give you a cocktail that tastes like peach crumble in a cup! I’m obsessed with with the combination of sweet peach and almond, so this fun spin on an amaretto sour calls my name!

Before we jump into the specifics about this cocktail, I have to just start by saying this: that amaretto sours are my favorite cocktail, and peaches are one of my favorite fruits, so this cocktail is a no-brainer for me! Everything I’m obsessed with in one, perfect cup. I just can’t resist myself around these! Ok, let’s jump on into this perfect Summer/Fall cocktail:

Let’s Talk Peach Butter

The whole idea for this recipe came to life when I saw Karlee from Olive & Artisan post her End of Summer Peach Butter recipe. You could say it was love at first sight of this decadence in a jar. Making this quick and simple peach butter on your stovetop not only makes your house smell like a walking Yankee Candle, but it is something that is also SO gratifying to make! It’s like pure love in a jar when you are done – trust me, you are going to want to treasure every last drop of this peach butter.

In order to make this cocktail, you will need peach butter. I used Karlee’s recipe – Olive & Artisan: End of Summer Peach Butter. If you don’t have the time to make homemade, you can see if your local grocery store has peach butter available for purchase.

If you’re able to make your peach butter homemade, definitely give it a whirl! It’s easier than you would think :).

How to Assemble these Cocktails

As you most likely have heard me say before, a cocktail not only needs to be delicious, but SIMPLE in order for me to actually make it at home. Peach Butter Amaretto Sours fit the bill!

Having a cocktail shaker comes in handy with this one – otherwise you are going to be looking like me whisking the ingredients together in a glass (lol). But hey! You gotta do what works! Needless to say, I will be purchasing a cocktail shaker for future uses haha.

Shake up the peach butter, amaretto, and lemon-lime soda together, pour over a glass of crushed ice, top off the glass with a little more lemon-lime soda, garnish with peach slices and ENJOY!

I really just can’t express enough how much I love this cocktail, and I’m not someone who drinks very often! So you know this one has to be good! It’s perfect for these late Summer nights (and a great way to use all those sweet peaches!) or for a crisp, Fall evening. You just can’t go wrong with these Peach Butter Amaretto Sours!

Description

If you are looking for the perfect cocktail to transition from Summer to Fall with, then Peach Butter Amaretto Sours are all that you need! Warm, cinnamon-scented peach butter is mixed together with just the right amount of amaretto and lemon-lime soda to give you a cocktail that tastes like peach crumble in a cup! I’m obsessed with with the combination of sweet peach and almond, so this fun spin on an amaretto sour calls my name!

Ingredients

Scale

Single Serving 10 oz glass:

  • 2 tablespoons peach butter
  • 1 shot amaretto
  • 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda
  • 1/3 cup crushed ice
  • Peach slices as garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the peach butter, amaretto and lemon-lime soda together in a cocktail shaker. Gently shake to combine, trying to not eliminate all the fizz from the soda.
  2. Pour over a glass with the crushed ice. Top off with more lemon-lime soda to fill the glass completely. Garnish with peach slices and enjoy!

Notes

  • Homemade peach butter is so worth it! I used the recipe from Olive & Artisan: End of Summer Peach Butter.
  • You can serve this cocktail in a pitcher as well – just times the recipe by as many times as you need in order to match the ounces that your pitcher holds.
