Brightened by a splash of lemon-lime soda, this drink blends sweet, tart, and warm spiced flavors.

A peach butter amaretto sour is the perfect cocktail to bridge the gap between seasons. The fresh peach flavor shouts summer, while the warm spices hint at cooler days ahead.

Peach Butter Amaretto Sours

I’m not much of a cocktail drinker, but when I do, you bet your bottom dollar it’s going to be an amaretto sour. Now, make it a peach butter amaretto sour…I’M IN! This cocktail is a peach lover’s dream come true and goes down SMOOTH.

Let’s talk peach butter.

Before you get turned off by the idea of “butter” in your cocktail, let’s set things straight. There is no dairy in this cocktail.

Peach butter is a reduced mixture of fresh peaches, spices, and sugar — essentially a deliciously spiced, smooth peach jam.

This recipe was inspired by Karlee’s End of Summer Peach Butter from Olive & Artisan. The moment I made it, I was smitten. This easy stovetop recipe fills your home with a delightful scent, and the result is delectable. Trust me, you’ll treasure every last drop of this peach butter.

Where To Get Peach Butter

Traditionally, amaretto sours are made with simple syrup. But peach butter gives this drink a deeper flavor — and a sophisticated flair.

I used Karlee’s recipe – Olive & Artisan: End of Summer Peach Butter. If you don’t have the time to make homemade peach butter, you can see if your local grocery store has any available (or just buy it online). Trader Joe’s always has a good peach butter!

If you’re able to make your peach butter, definitely give it a whirl! It’s easier than you would think!

How to Make Peach Butter Amaretto Sours

Cocktails need to be delicious AND simple for me to actually make them at home. Peach butter amaretto sours fit the bill!

A cocktail shaker comes in handy for this recipe. If you don’t have one, you can use a small whisk to stir everything up.

Shake the peach butter, amaretto, and lemon-lime soda together in the cocktail shaker. Then pour the drink over a glass of crushed ice. Top off the glass with a little more lemon-lime soda and garnish with peach slices.

Peach Butter Amaretto Sour FAQ

Can you make peach butter amaretto sours in a pitcher?

Notes

  • Homemade peach butter is so worth it! I used the recipe from Olive & Artisan: End of Summer Peach Butter.
  • You can serve this cocktail in a pitcher as well – just times the recipe by as many times as you need in order to match the ounces that your pitcher holds.
