What Sets Certified Piedmontese Beef Apart
Certified Piedmontese isn’t just any other beef brand that you may think. They have such a unique, healthy and appealing way that they operate. Let’s dive into the details on what sets Certified Piedmontese apart from the others:
- Their cows come from the rare Piedmontese breed of cattle from Italy – less than 1% of cattle in the United States are Piedmontese, but Certified Piedmontese has the largest herd of these cattle.
- The beef is naturally healthier, but does not sacrifice on flavor and tenderness.
- The beef has fewer calories, less fat and higher protein per ounce than beef from other breeds.
- The cattle are raised naturally without hormones, antibiotics or steroids – and on ranches here in the Midwest!
- You get the taste of real beef since it is naturally cleaner and leaner.
- Certified Piedmontese has a ranch-to-fork process that ensures traceability, environmental sustainability and humane handling.
Now, I don’t know about you guys, but COUNT ME IN! Not only are all of those amazing qualities of the Certified Piedmontese brand enough to get you on board, but tasting their product will have you hooked for life. I sure am!

Grass Fed, Grass Finished Beef
Not only is Certified Piedmontese Beef naturally leaner and more of a pure beef flavor, but they also offer a Grass Fed, Grass Finished Beef line! If you’re not familiar with the cattle industry, this is an amazing feat! That means, the cattle are as natural as possible – eating grass as intended to do so! I’ve found that the Grass Fed, Grass Finished Beef has such a true “beef” flavor. Which is perfect for this recipe! Here’s what Certified Piedmontese says about their Grass Fed, Grass Finished Line:
“Certified Piedmontese grass fed, grass finished beef, is source verified, nutritious, high-quality tender beef that has been raised humanely with the cattle and the land and its resources in mind. There is simply no reason to settle for less when choosing your grass fed, grass finished beef.
Certified Piedmontese stir fry beef is incredibly nutritious and tender beef that’s ready for stress-free, flavorful meals. With only 130 calories and 2.5 grams of fat per 4-ounce serving, it’s an incredibly healthy, hearty, and delicious addition to your favorite meals, including stir frys, fajitas, and more. All Certified Piedmontese beef is verified all-natural and raised without hormones or antibiotics..”

What KJ Loves about this Recipe
There’s not much about this dish that isn’t lovable! One, I love how simple it is, yet how flavor-packed it turns out! A simple, homemade sauce is to thank for this. Secondly, how quickly it all comes together. Ready to go in under 30 minutes! And lastly, how it just makes you happy! It’s pretty darn hard to not be happy while you’re eating this Mongolian Beef. Enjoy for a weeknight meal, date night dinner or a fun twist on some takeout!
Let’s Talk about the Sauce
One of the most memorable parts of Mongolian Beef: the sauce!
The sauce is really what makes this dish. It’s salty, yet sweet with a bit of heat to make you keep going back for more.
Not only is the sauce absolutely scrumptious, but all you need is 5 ingredients to bring it together! Here’s the ingredients needed:
- Soy sauce – a low-sodium soy sauce is best here to help keep the salt content in check. Since it’s the base of the sauce, quite a bit is used.
- Brown sugar – helps sweeten the sauce and thicken it as it simmers away!
- Garlic – can you ever have too much garlic? Freshly chopped or pre-chopped can be used.
- Crushed red pepper – I love using crushed red pepper to add just a little bit of heat. I’m not someone who can handle a lot of heat, so this is the perfect ingredient!
- Sesame oil – sesame oil is the ingredient that instantly takes your tastebuds on a ride. A little goes a long ways!
Simmering the sauce in the same skillet as the beef helps add flavor. The sauce will naturally thicken as it reduces down and then even more so once the seared beef is added back in! It will also continue to thicken a bit as it cools down. Makes for a perfect, sticky sauce!

How to Serve
Once the beef has been seared and then simmered in the sauce, it’s time to dig in!
I highly recommend serving this Mongolian Beef on a bed of my Coconut Cilantro Rice. Another option would be to toss it with some cooked ramen noodles. Talk about the ultimate noodle bowl!
Chopped green onion makes for the perfect garnish. Grab a fork and enjoy!
