Where to Find Mango Chutney

The birth of this recipe came to be when I was wondering the aisles of Trader Joe’s. It was one of those grocery trips where TJ’s was speaking to me, you know what I mean? Haha! Needless to say, it was a grocery day of discovering new, fun products, and that’s where mango chutney comes in!

If you can, grab a couple jars of Mango Ginger Chutney from Trader Joe’s. It’s by far my favorite – the combination of golden raisins, ginger, red bell peppers really sets this mango chutney apart!

Otherwise, you can find mango chutney at most grocery stores. If you like more of a kick, grab the spicy jar! If not, you can stick with the classic. Look for the ones that have the raisins, ginger and red bell peppers in them if you can!

What Kind of Chicken to Use

Whenever I’m at the grocery store, I always make sure that I am stocked on bone-less, skinless chicken breasts or tenders. That way, whipping up a quick chicken dinner is always possible! For this recipe, I like to use bone-less, skinless chicken breast or tenders cut into 1-inch pieces. They can easily be sautéd and then simmered in the mango chutney.

If you prefer dark meat, bone-less, skinless chicken thighs can be used! Cut them in 1-inch pieces as well.

How to Serve Mango Chutney Chicken

Serving this Mango Chutney Chicken couldn’t be any more simple. All you need is a bed of rice! Our favorite is my Coconut Cilantro Rice – it adds the perfect amount of subtle sweetness to match the heat of the mango chutney!

Garnish with fresh cilantro and a couple lime wedges for the ultimate dish. If you are feeling festive, slice up some fresh mango as well!
