Korean Beef Bowls are quick, easy and packed full of flavor! Ground beef is browned and then simmered in a sticky, delicious, Korean-inspired homemade sauce of soy sauce, brown sugar and seasonings. The result is a 20 Minute Korean Beef Bowl so good that you’ll have them on your weeknight dinner rotation in no time!


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 green onions, chopped


  1. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat, lightly breaking it up as you go, about 5-8 minutes.
  2. Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, sesame oil and red pepper flakes and pour the sauce over the browned beef. Stir to combine and allow the sauce to caramelize slightly and soak into the ground beef, about another 3-5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the green onion and then serve as desired. Enjoy!


  • 80/20 or 90/10 ground beef can be used for this recipe.
