Cooking Drumsticks
Drumsticks (aka: chicken legs!) are highly underrated. I know that cooking any chicken with the bone-in can seem more daunting to get cooked properly, but chicken drumsticks couldn’t be easier!
Since they are skin-on and bone-in and dark meat, they naturally retain a lot of flavor and moisture. This makes them easier to cook! The skin on the drumsticks helps lock in the juices, while the bone helps add flavor to the meat.
When cooking drumsticks, you still want to stick to the same concept of cooking any chicken: making sure the internal temperature of the meat reaches 165 degrees. Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the meat on the drumstick to get an accurate reading of the temperature.

Honey Garlic Sauce
The drumsticks certainly are important for this recipe, but the true star of the show is the homemade honey garlic sauce! Here’s what you will need to bring this sauce together:
That’s it! Simply whisk all of those ingredients to form the sauce.
Now, for the cooking method, half of the sauce is transferred to a separate bowl to stay contaminated-free for later use. The other half is used to baste the chicken drumsticks halfway through the cooking process.
Then, the last half of the sauce is tossed together with the baked drumsticks prior to serving, much like how one would toss chicken wings in sauce.
Finally, sprinkle on some sesame seeds and chopped chives to really take these drumsticks to the next level!
PS: these drumsticks could also be grilled! Follow the same concept of basting the chicken legs halfway through the grilling process and then use an indirect heat to finish them off on the grill. Toss with the remaining sauce after cooking.

How to Serve
Whether you are serving these Honey Garlic Drumsticks as an appetizer to feed a crowd, or a fun weeknight dinner option, they will be devoured!
If you are serving them as an appetizer option, they can be made in advance if needed and kept warm in the oven until serving. This recipe can also easily be doubled or tripled to feed larger crowds. A perfect grab-and-go appetizer!
For dinner, serve the drumsticks with some Coconut Cilantro Rice to create a fun dinner plate!
