Description

Garlic Mushroom Green Beans are a quick and delicious side dish! Vibrant green beans are tossed together with sizzling, golden mushrooms and garlic. The result is a green side dish that is perfect for weeknight meals, holidays or date nights!

This gluten and dairy free green bean side dish has so much flavor you will be going back for seconds!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 oz French green beans
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 16 oz baby bella mushrooms, trimmed and sliced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Boil the green beans for 5-8 minutes before transferring to a prepared ice bath to stop the cooking process.
  2. Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add in the mushrooms and sauté for 5-8 minutes or until golden brown and caramelized. Add in the garlic and sauté for a couple minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the blanched green beans into the skillet, season with the salt and pepper and toss to combine. Sauté for a couple minutes until the green beans are heated through.
  4. Serve immediately and enjoy!
