The Cowboy Burger is the perfect burger recipe when you can’t choose between toppings. Why not choose them all? 

A juicy, savory burger is seared on the grill and piled high with melty cheddar, smoky cowboy sauce, fried onions, crispy bacon, and tangy pickles. 

Top with a toasted bun and saddle up for a mouthwatering dinner.



For the burger:

For the cowboy sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 1/4 cup bbq sauce


  • Cheddar cheese slices
  • Bacon, cooked
  • Pickles
  • French fried onions


For the burgers:

  1. Preheat your grill to high heat. Add the ground beef to a large bowl along with the egg, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce and bbq sauce. Gently mix together until combined, being careful to not over-mix.
  2. Evenly form the beef mixture into 8 patties. Gently press the inside of each burger patty down with your thumb to insure even cooking.
  3. Grill on high heat for 3-5 minutes per side, or until desired cooking tempered is achieved. Top with cheese slices during the last minute or so of grilling.

For the cowboy sauce:

  1. Mix the mayo and bbq sauce together in a small bowl.
  2. Assemble the burgers by layering the sauce, bacon, pickles and french friend onions on top of the burger with a bun. Enjoy!
