What Sets Smart Chicken Apart
Ok, listen up, if you’re purchasing chicken, it needs to be Smart Chicken! And that’s something that I don’t even have to be paid to say! My family and I have been using and cooking with Smart Chicken for YEARS. Literally: it’s all my Grandma and Mom will use, and now me! We can even go as far as saying that we have family friends who were farmers for Smart Chicken. I can remember watching my Mom in the kitchen unwrap the chicken with the classic blue packaging growing up, or my Grandma sharing with all of us when she found a grocery store when it went on sale. To say it’s a family favorite is an understatement.
So, what does set Smart Chicken apart? Let me tell you!
Air Chilled:
Did you know that all other chicken companies submerge the chicken in water bath solution to chill the meat? And that the meat absorbs 8-12% of that liquid? No thank you! Smart Chicken goes above and beyond to pay extra attention to detail by using a 100% Air-Chilled Process. That means the end result is a pure product that has exceptional taste, texture and quality without any yucky stuff added. You can read more about their process here!
No Antibiotics:
Want to know what else is great? NO antibiotics are ever added! Here’s what they have to say about the matter:
“Smart Chicken® has never changed its position on antibiotics; the company does not administer antibiotics to chickens that become Smart Chicken and never has. Antibiotics are simply not part of our equation for producing wholesome, high-quality chicken and, in line with that philosophy, all Smart Chicken products are USDA Process Verified no antibiotics ever.”
How great is that?! They have a wealth of knowledge if you want to read more about their commitments to creating the highest-quality products that they can.
All in all, Smart Chicken is the only way to go!

Let’s Talk Alfredo Sauce
First off, if you’ve never made a homemade alfredo sauce before, you are missing out! The flavor is unbeatable.
In order to keep the amount of dishes down, I created this recipe to be made in one pot. Here’s how to bring this alfredo sauce to life:
- Sear the chicken until golden brown on both sides and set aside (don’t worry about cooking all the way through at this point).
- Pour the alfredo ingredients into that same pan to optimize on all that flavor left behind from the chicken.
- Whisk in shredded parmesan cheese until the sauce is perfectly decadent, and then add the chicken back into the sauce.
- Simmer the chicken in the sauce until cooked through.
The result? A homemade alfredo sauce that is loaded full of flavor, tender pieces of chicken and minimal dishes to clean! Sounds like a win-win to me.

How to Serve Chicken Alfredo
When it’s time to serve this decadent chicken alfredo, there’s only one thing that comes to my mind: fettuccine! Fettuccine and alfredo sauce go together like peanut butter and jelly.
After the chicken has simmered in the sauce and is cooked through, set it aside. Toss the sauce with some freshly boiled fettuccine, slice the chicken and serve the alfredo noodles with a perfect presentation of sliced chicken on top! How great is that? PS: Cheesy Garlic Bread as a side would make it complete!
If you don’t have fettuccine on hand, any noodle preference can be used. Or, if you want to take this dish a different route completely, slice and serve the chicken alfredo over some mashed potatoes! You can’t go wrong with these Asiago Herb Mashed Potatoes.
How will you serve up this Chicken Alfredo?

There’s nothing like a decadent bowl of pasta to make your heart and stomach happy. With this Chicken Alfredo dish, the result is just that: pure happiness. Make this recipe for a classic weeknight meal, a date night dinner, a meal to gift a friend/neighbor or just when you need a good alfredo fix.
