Cheeseburger Pizza

I absolutely love how fun and delicious this cheeseburger pizza is! My favorite part? The combination of the hot, cheesy pizza with the cold, crisp pickles. Yum!!

Cheeseburger Pizza Ingredients

Pizza crust

Store-bought or homemade. I love to use the pre-made pizza dough from Trader Joe’s!

Cheeseburger Pizza Sauce ingredients

A mixture of ketchup, mustard, and mayo. American classics!

Ground hamburger

I like to use an 85/15 mix for this recipe.

Cheddar cheese

Wouldn’t be a cheeseburger without it!

Pickles

I’m obsessed with these fresh pickles, but any dill pickle will do!

How To Make Cheeseburger Pizza

1

Brown the hamburger.

Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

In a medium skillet, brown the hamburger (about 8-10 minutes), breaking apart to crumble. Season with salt and pepper.

2

Prep the dough and sauce.

Meanwhile, roll the pizza dough out onto a lightly greased half-sheet pan. Fill up as much of the pan as you can β€” without breaking the dough or stretching it too thin.

In a small bowl, stir together the ketchup, mustard, and mayo until smooth. Evenly spread this across the prepared pizza dough as the cheeseburger pizza sauce.

3

Top and bake!

Top with the browned hamburger. Then sprinkle with the cheddar cheese and bake until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.

Serve with an extra drizzle of ketchup or mustard, top with the dill pickle slices, and dig in!

4

Wash the dishes. How sad.

Cheeseburger Pizza FAQs

What’s the best way to reheat leftover pizza?

Rather than using the microwave, which can result in a soggy or tough crust, try using the broiler or an air fryer. Both of these methods can help you get a crisp and delicious slice of reheated pizza.

Should I cook the hamburger before baking on a pizza?

Yes, it’s important to cook your hamburger before adding it to your cheeseburger pizza. This will ensure the hamburger is cooked and safe to eat!

What temperature do you cook pizza on a sheet?

For a delicious and perfectly cooked cheeseburger pizza, you’ll want to preheat your oven to 450 degrees. This temperature will make your pizza crust crispy and fully cook your toppings.  your toppings are fully cooked.

Should I preheat the baking sheet for pizza?

It’s not necessary, but preheating your baking sheet can help you create a crispier crust. It’s more difficult to transition the pizza onto the baking sheet though, so I’d recommend keeping things simple and not worrying about this step!
