Brownie Pie is the perfect combination of two classic desserts combined into one decadent slice: brownie pie! A buttery pie crust is filled with a fudgy, homemade brownie batter. Each bite is loaded full of chocolate and buttery pie crust goodness!

  • 1 pie crust
  • 2 sticks (16 tablespoons) butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup Dutch processed cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

  1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Press the pie crust into the bottom of a standard pie plate and crimp the edges. Store in the refrigerator while making the brownie batter.
  2. Add the melted butter into the bottom of a large bowl. Whisk in the sugar and brown sugar. Add in the eggs and whisk until light and somewhat fluffier. Whisk in the vanilla.
  3. Use a rubber spatula to mix in the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt and chocolate chips until smooth. Evenly press the brownie batter into the prepared pie crust.
  4. Bake for 32-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the center is set but still jiggly. Turn off the oven and open the oven door wide open to allow the pie to cool for 10-20 minutes. This will help the center of the pie to not crack or cave as much, while still staying fudgy.
  5. Serve the slices warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Enjoy!

  • Dutch processed cocoa powder is highly recommended for this recipe.
  • A homemade or store-bought pie crust can be used.
  • If allowing the pie to cool in the oven, make sure the door is wide open so that it cools vs. continues cooking. We want the center to be fudgy!
