Maple Bacon Brussel Sprouts

Maple Bacon Brussel Sprouts are an addicting side dish! Fresh brussel sprouts are tossed together with chopped bacon, seasonings and a good maple syrup. Baked until golden brown and crispy, each bite is loaded full of flavor! You have to try this dang good way to make brussel sprouts!

When we went out to visit our best friends in Grand Rapids, MI (read more about that trip here!), my bestie Haley whipped up some brussel sprouts that made me do a double-take. They were SO good! I just had to steal this idea from her and she was more than happy to share it with all of us :).

Ingredients Needed

Since this brussel sprouts recipe doesn’t have very many ingredients, you want to make sure you are using quality ingredients. It really is a game-changer! Here is what’s needed:

  • Brussel sprouts – I quarter the larger ones and halve the smaller ones
  • Bacon – The applewood smoked bacon from Trader Joe’s is pretty hard to resist!
  • Maple Syrup – this is really where quality comes in. You can use a standard syrup you would use for pancakes, but I highly recommend snagging a true, pure maple syrup. SO good! You can find it at Target and most grocery stores!
  • Seasoned Salt – this is ALWAYS in my pantry.

The result: a sweet, salty, smoky, crispy brussel sprout. Yum!

Serving Ideas

Man oh man, if you’re able to resist eating these straight off the sheet pan, then you are a true champ! Not only are these sprouts scrumptious, but they can be served for so many different occasions. From a weekday dinner side to the holiday table, they won’t disappoint!

Here’s some recipes to serve these sprouts next to:

From a scrumptious weeknight side dish to a show-stopper on the holiday table, these Maple Bacon Brussel Sprouts will not disappoint!

Description

Maple Bacon Brussel Sprouts are an addicting side dish! Fresh brussel sprouts are tossed together with chopped bacon, seasonings and a good maple syrup. Baked until golden brown and crispy, each bite is loaded full of flavor! You have to try this dang good way to make brussel sprouts!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds brussel sprouts, larger ones quartered and smaller ones halved
  • 6 oz bacon, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Add the brussel sprouts onto a sheet pan along with the chopped bacon. Evenly season with the seasoned salt, maple syrup and olive oil. Toss to coat.
  2. Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour, or until the brussel sprouts are crispy and caramelized. Stir and flip the brussel sprouts halfway through the cooking process to get even browning and cooking. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Pure maple syrup really makes a difference in this recipe. SO good!
  • I like to use an applewood smoked bacon or a maple bacon for this recipe.
