What are Pepperoni Pizza Roll-Ups?

There are pepperoni pizza rolls, pizza pockets, but what about pizza roll-ups? It’s just what we needed!

Pepperoni slices and shredded cheese are rolled up into a crescent dough triangle. The result is layers of buttery, pepperoni cheese goodness! I mean, just look at those swirls inside!

Perfect for dunking, serving a crowd and instant happy faces.

Ingredients Needed

When it comes to making an appetizer, I like to keep them simple and delicous! You only need 4 ingredients for this recipe – how great is that?!

  • Pepperoni slices – I highly recommend getting the larger pepperoni slices either from the meat counter or these Applegate pepperoni slices that are the perfect size. If you are using smaller pepperoni slices, you will just need to add more per roll!
  • Shredded cheese – use whatever white, mild cheese you have on hand! Mozzarella, Montery Jack, Asiago… it all works!
  • Crescent rolls – the good ol’ fashioned rolls we all know and love.
  • Marinara sauce – for dipping! This is my all-time favorite sauce.

How to Make these Pizza Roll-Ups

Making these roll-ups are almost as fun as eating them.

Simply lay out all your crescent triangles, place a couple pepperoni slices on the wider end of each triangle, top with some cheese and roll them on up! Use the “tail” of the crescent roll dough to lock  all the goodness in.

Bake until they are golden brown and delicious and then dig in! How quick and fun are these?!

Whether you are serving these as a gameday appetizer, an afternoon snack or even a quick lunch option, they are delicious and scrumptious! They will disappear before you know it!

Description

Pepperoni Pizza Roll-Ups are the perfect appetizer option to please a crowd! Zesty pepperoni slices are rolled-up with cheese inside a crescent dough triangle. Baked until golden brown and melted, these Pepperoni Pizza Roll-Ups are best served dunked into your favorite marina sauce. Talk about delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz tube crescent rolls (8 rolls)
  • 16 large slices of pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Marinara sauce for serving and dipping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees. Lay the separated crescent roll triangles out on a non-greased baking sheet.
  2. Place 2 pepperoni slices per triangle on the widest part of the triangle. Top each one with about 1 tablespoon of shredded cheese each. Roll up the crescent roll as you normally would, starting at the wider end and working towards the smaller end. Make sure each roll is a few inches apart from another.
  3. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown on top. Serve with your choice of marinara sauce (slightly warmed for the ultimate experience) for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Larger pepperoni slices are recommended for this recipe as they are the perfect size. If you are using smaller slices, then you will need to double the amount per roll.
  • Serve with warm marinara sauce for the ultimate experience!
