What is a Strawberry Lemonade Smasher?

Now, you may be asking, “What is a Strawberry Lemonade Smasher?” Well, it’s exactly as it sounds! Its a fun drink made up of smashed/muddled strawberries swirled together with lemonade and topped off with lemon-lime soda to make it bubbly. It’s a drink that you will wanto sip on and kick your feet up!

Does a Strawberry Lemonade Smasher have alcohol in it?

If you are wondering about the alcohol content in this drink, it doesn’t have any! Now that doesn’t mean it isn’t easy to add some in! This drink is easily customizable. You could add tequila, vodka, wine, rosé or even sub out the lemon-lime soda for some champagne! Or, you could leave it as is. Either way, you’re bound to love it!

How to serve Strawberry Lemonade Smashers

When it comes to serving these fun, festive drinks, you can either make individual glasses or a whole pitcher to pass around. I personally love how fun these drinks can be to make! Let your guests or family get involved and build their own smasher, or have it all ready to grab and go. Not only are these drinks fun and delicious, but they can be served for a crowd, party, or just because! A warm night on the porch is begging for one of these smashers!

I served mine in these colorful juice glasses!

To say the least, Strawberry Lemonade Smashers are a hit! They help add in a bit of summer and sunshine to any situation, are easy to assemble and only require a few simple ingredients! The recipe is also very adaptable as it can be made to fit any glass size. If you have a larger glass, just add in a bit more lemonade and lemon-lime soda to fill ‘er up!

Description

Strawberry Lemonade Smashers are a fun, festive drink for any occasion! Fresh strawberries are muddled in the bottom of a glass with zesty lemonade and topped off with something bubbly to add some fizz. Each sip of these smashers will export you straight into summer!


Ingredients

Scale

For an individual 10 oz glass:

  • 2 strawberries, chopped
  • 1/3 cup ice
  • 1/2 cup lemonade
  • 1/4 cup lemon-lime soda
  • Lemon slices and additional strawberries for serving if desired

For a pitcher:

  • 12 strawberries, chopped
  • 2 cups ice
  • 3 cups lemonade
  • 1 1/2 cups lemon-lime soda
  • Lemon slices and additional strawberries for serving if desired

Instructions

For glass and pitcher sizes:

  1. Put the chopped strawberries in the bottom of your glass or pitcher and muddle with a spoon or a muddler until the strawberries are smashed. Add in the ice and lemonade and stir to combine.
  2. Top the glass or pitcher off with the lemon-lime soda and garnish with additional strawberries or lemon slices if desired. Enjoy!

Notes

  • This recipe is easily customizable to fit any glass or pitcher size! Just simply add in more or less lemonade and lemon-lime soda to fit your glass.
  • Alcohol can easily be added to this recipe. Things that would go great with it are tequila, vodka, white wine, rosé or champagne!
